UNIDENTIFIED FLYING PROJECT is a musical visionary story bringing together 30 pro-production musicians and artists, over 60+ hand-picked project musicians, collaborators, singers & producers, 19 different engineers working from 14 recording studios & sometimes across oceans & disparate time zones, but all with one vision & 12 years in the making, brought together by writer, producer and arranger Simon Wood Harris.

Every track on the project has a story.

In turn, every musician on every track has a story. The people with whom they have worked all have stories. 'UNIDENTIFIED FLYING PROJECT by simon wood harris' is its own story encompassing all of this. It is a creative venture seeking to exploit the musical genius of bespoke teams of musicians hand-picked to provide the sonic landscape for Simon's passionate and profound songs.

Each song begins its story on the old portable cassette recorder sat atop Simon's crumbling Steinway. From there each song gets shared amongst the musicians chosen for that track, to whom Simon gives a unique blend of creative direction and free rein. This is where the magic happens: the meeting of the minds of these astonishing players and singers, channelling their own back-stories and collaborative endeavour into utterly mind-blowing performances amid utterly breathtaking arrangements.
